Transvoyeur: Gender, Space, Art and Architecture.
Artists: Daiva Gauryte (Liverpool, UK) and Kofi Fosu (New York, US).
e: transvoyeuruk@hotmail.co.uk Transvoyeur takes a theoretical and multidisciplinary approach to issues of gender in art and architecture. Specific architectural sites, projects and ideas are examined in order to explore how space is defined by gender practices, power and vision, masculinity and femininity. Different parameters of spatiality, including cyberspace, are analyzed. The collaborative research and mutual exchange culminates in a digital video by curator Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney on the participating artists Daiva Gauryte and Kofi Fosu. Screening at two venues:
